  • Full STEAM Ahead

    Funded Mar 15, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. My students will be so happy to try these materials out and I know that these activities will improve their learning so much. My STEAM projects would not have been possible without your help. I don’t have enough words to express my thanks and appreciation!”

  • Missing Parts For Creepy Crawlies Bug Art

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much! My students are so excited for their new supplies!

Your supplies that I've requested are being put to such great use. The Kindergartners loved making these spiders. They came out so cute! I was also able to use the black markers in multiple projects, such as the fourth grade haunted houses where they used the markers to create the added details to bring their pictures to life...and again with my kindergartners in their bat artwork. We used the markers to create the craters on the moon which they then brushed over with water to create the illusion of shadows, and also to draw their faces on the bats and the lines on their wings to bring their bats to life and give each bat a very unique look.

The other craft supplies that I purchased like the wiggly eyes and the pom poms will be used to create the caterpillar picture like in my sample. I will be doing this project in the spring with my first and second graders. Thank you so much again!”

  • Organizing My Art Work Is a Must Do!

    Funded Oct 17, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. Students in grades 2-4 each designed their manila folders with a different theme in each grade level. Grade 2's theme was to draw wiggly lines across their folders and used markers to color in the created spaces in different colors. Grade 3's theme was to use circle tracers to create a design/picture and color in the circles using cool or warm colors and use the opposite colors for the background. Grade 4's theme was to use their inital first letter in a design. Grade 5's theme was to create a unique superhero or villain.

All of my students are enjoying using the different art supplies. Allowing my students to be able to also use various craft supplies to enhance their art projects brings a lot of happiness and excitement. Hearing that my students love art makes me so happy.

We will continue to use these materials throughout the rest of the school year and the next. My students are so happy and proud to take home the art projects that they've completed so far. Thank you so much again!”

  • Drawing Inspiration from Other Art Peers

    Funded Jan 21, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. My art projects would not be possible without the help of generous people like yourselves. Teaching art to a student body of over 700 students is challenging. Find enough supplies to be able to do art with these many students is even more challenging. Without a program like Donor's Choose and generous patrons who care about our schools and students like yourself, I don't know what I would do to carry out art projects. Thank you so much again for your support!”

  • More Cardstock for Art Please!

    Funded Apr 25, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. With the money, I was able to purchase additional art supplies that I need to make our art program a success. Paper is and always will be the most needed supply. With your donation- I was able to purchase different types of paper to suit the type of artwork students were focused on.

All of my students are enjoying art. Being able to create part of the art beforehand- even if I have to run parts of it off for them insures that all of my students will be able to finish their art in a timely matter.

Hearing that my students love art makes me so happy.

We will continue to use these materials throughout the rest of the school year and the next. My students are so happy and proud to take home the art projects that they've completed so far. Thank you so much again!”

  • I Canʻt Find My Artwork!

    Funded Nov 24, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. With the money, I was able to purchase the additional art supplies that I needed to make our art program a success. Purchasing file folders for students to keep their artwork in will keep their artwork organized. Unfortunately all of my original supplies that I requested were not able to be purchased, so I needed to make new choices. With your donation- I was able to purchase file folders and other art supplies, such as oil pastels, watercolor paint and brushes for most of my students in the school to use throughout this school year and years to come.

All of my students are enjoying using the different art supplies. Exposing them to materials like painting with watercolors and using oil pastels gives them a lot of happiness and excitement. Hearing that my students love art makes me so happy.

We will continue to use these materials throughout the rest of the school year and the next. My students are so happy and proud to take home the art projects that they've completed so far. Thank you so much again!”

My students are looking forward to returning back to school, especially to having resource classes again, like Art, PE and Music. Being able to teach all students in our school from grades K to 5 is a unique and special experience. I now teach Art to each student. Stretching my budget to reach over 700 students is an on-going challenge. I try to create art projects that will make all of my students feel that they are able to be successful. I believe hands-on activities will excite, inspire, and motivate all of my students to succeed no matter what their socioeconomic background may be.
