My 6th grade students have spent a year and a half in distance and hybrid learning. Their computer skills are great, but we really need to increase our reading levels AND our joy and excitement of reading. These classroom magazines will engage my Gen Z students because they cover topics they are already interested in. The more they read, the faster the faster we will be able to catch them up from any learning loss. Students returning from distance learning may have trouble focusing for longer periods of time, so it is important to have reading materials that are shorter and highly engaging.
