This classroom project was brought to life by The Allstate Foundation and 3 other donors.

This is my first year as a second grade teacher, I am starting with few materials for the classroom. With these items my students will have the opportunity to have flexible seating during reading time. These seats will help them feel comfortable and excited about our quiet reading time. The seats will also help with small group instruction. I think it is important for 2nd grade classroom to have a carpet to sit on. The carpet will be used for group instruction and story times. The carpet will be a great resource for small groups and centers. My class size is 24 and each student can have a special spot on the carpet when working as a whole group.
