Each of the items selected on my wish list have a specific use for each therapeutic component in my room. The weighted pillow will be used to aid in de-escalation of heightened emotions, the journals will allow them to process with a safe person, in a safe and calm space. The sensory plushies and pillows will help ground them back to managing in the moment as it brings a sense of home and the animal figurines gives students a chance to display emotions through actions when they are unable to verbalize what is happening.
