  • We Need Snacks!

    Funded Jul 31, 2022

I am beyond grateful for your support in providing my students with snacks like Cheez-Its, Nutri-Grain bars, orange juice, and more. These simple yet meaningful resources have made a world of difference in our classroom!

For many students, these snacks provide the boost they need to stay focused and engaged throughout the day. Whether it's a quick bite before a big test or a snack to keep their energy up during long lessons, these treats have helped create a more comfortable and supportive learning environment. One memorable moment was during a review session for an upcoming science quiz. Students were able to grab a snack while working through practice questions, and I could see how much it helped them stay motivated and alert.

When they first saw the snacks, their excitement was undeniable! Some students even cheered, knowing they wouldn't have to push through the day on an empty stomach. The relief on their faces was a reminder of just how important these small comforts can be.

Looking ahead, we will continue using these snacks to keep students energized as we dive into hands-on science projects, experiments, and discussions. Your generosity has not only filled their stomachs but also fueled their minds, allowing them to focus on learning rather than hunger.

Thank you for making a difference in our classroom! Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Strong

  • All Hands on Deck

    Funded Jul 30, 2022

I can't thank you enough for your support in providing my students with essential classroom supplies like eraser tops, dry erase boards, pencils, and erasers. These resources have already made a huge impact on our learning environment!

When the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement. The dry erase boards, in particular, were a huge hit! They immediately started practicing their science vocabulary and solving problems with enthusiasm. The best part? They are no longer afraid to make mistakes because they can simply erase and try again.

One memorable moment was during a recent lesson on the scientific method. Instead of using paper, students worked through the steps on their dry erase boards, brainstorming hypotheses and recording observations. The boards allowed for quick revisions and group collaboration, making the activity more engaging and interactive.

Looking ahead, we will be using these materials for hands-on activities in our upcoming unit on ecosystems. Students will sketch food chains, model energy transfer, and engage in quick-response games to reinforce key concepts. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has become a space where learning feels fun and accessible.

Thank you for being part of our journey! Your support means the world to me and my students.”

    Ms. Strong

  • Starting to STEAM

    Funded Oct 9, 2024

I hope this letter finds you well! My students and I are beyond grateful for your generosity in supporting our classroom. The moment they walked in and saw the new materials—headphones, stylus pens, an organizer, an LED globe light, and wall decor—their faces lit up with excitement! It was truly heartwarming to see their enthusiasm as they explored these new tools.

We've already put them to great use! The headphones have made such a difference during independent learning time, allowing students to focus while using educational apps and watching science videos without distractions. The stylus pens have improved their precision when working on interactive lessons on the iPads, making note-taking and drawing diagrams so much easier. The organizer has helped keep everything neat and accessible, fostering a more efficient learning space. The LED globe light has sparked curiosity during our geography and Earth science lessons, bringing discussions about the planet to life. And the new wall decor has brightened our classroom, creating an inspiring environment for learning!

One of the most memorable moments so far was when we used the stylus pens to label different parts of a cell on a digital diagram. The students loved how precise they could be, and it made their learning experience much more engaging. The excitement in the room was contagious!

As we move forward, we'll continue using these resources to enhance our lessons. These materials have truly transformed our learning experience, and we couldn't have done it without your kindness and support.

Thank you again for believing in our students and making a lasting impact on their education. Your generosity means the world to us!”

  • SEL Growth

    Funded Feb 10, 2022

We are so grateful for your donations. Every day students are learning about social emotional learning and with the help of theses supplies my students are more able to connect with their emotions. With these supplies being added to our "Calm Down Corner" students are able to sit and reflect on their feelings and emotions without disrupting classroom instruction. The most exciting addition was the pop its. Students were able to use items in which many use at home to release stress as well as help academically when distracted. These items have impacted our classroom positively.”

  • A Creative Space for Learning to Take Place

    Funded Aug 5, 2021

With the items donated I was able to create a calm down corner for my students. When they first entered my classroom their eyes lit up. I gave them a few moments to walk around and make themselves comfortable. Whenever anyone enters my classroom I get so many compliments. My principal is always eager to bring guests into my room for a tour.

In my calm down corner are a carpet, books, bookshelf, custom chairs, a zen garden, pop-it toys, and a wall in which students can leave a positive message. This corner is accessible to all students at any moment in order for them to learn to control their emotions. There is also a bulletin board in which they can post any art work they create. This area is meant for students to feel at home and they are adding their own touches to it everyday.

For my next project I plan to focus more on mental health/ SEL activities for my students because I am learning that students are more willing to learn from me if they notice that I care about their well being as well as academics. My students and I are grateful for all items donated and can't wait to start another project.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Strong

In my project, I am asking for materials to create a learning environment that will allow for my students to flourish. These materials will allow me to set up my classroom environment in a way that is welcoming and inviting for all students who enter. The carpet will give students a comfortable place to sit and relax as well as indulge in their favorite books in the library. It will give students a calm space that promotes social-emotional awareness and a place for them to always come to decompress. The borders will help with the set up of bulletin boards, learning centers, and places for students to see and always to use their growth mindset. The classroom timer can help have great classroom management and time management for my students when transitioning from one thing to the next. My classroom will be a place to call home.
