I want to build a classroom library space where students can feel comfortable to sit on the floor during story circles or while their reading independently during class. I believe it will help engage students and become more excited to read knowing that they have a safe space to go to in their own classroom. As a brand new teacher in education, I want to give my students the exciting experience that comes with learning and reading in the classroom. I believe creating a classroom library with culturally responsive books will help me start a space to promote a love for reading!
