Throughout the year, the literature will be shared in conjunction with our SEL program called Choose Love. We will learn about how we are special in our own way. We can accept and support each other. We can be help each other by being upstanders. Discussions will take place after each read aloud book to help us identify character traits that can make us better people. We will use the posters to learn more about ourselves and each other. As a mid year project, we will reflect and write about what makes us a hero and what character traits we have have. Students will also create an artwork of themselves as a hero. We will create a gallery of their artwork and writing to share with their peers.
