My students are 5th and 6th graders. Our school is a public school with grades 5 and 6. Most grades have twelve classes each. We are one school of five that make up our district with grades K - 12. My students are goal-oriented. From the first day of school, they have accepted my challenge to focus on their reading. They have tackled each goal I've placed before them, and most are setting their own personal goals higher and they keep setting the bar higher and higher. My students are fun and they enjoy the quiet, peaceful time each day that comes only from reading. Several of them have developed that innate, passionate love for reading. I had a boy tell me just last week about how he didn't like reading at all last year, but he just loves it this year. Before telling him how proud I was and giving him a hug, I asked him to say that one more time. :)
