Younger students need opportunities to practice their social skills to be work force ready in the real world. Library STEM centers provide a time for students to work together to solve real world problems with their peers, while using their hands to build and create projects together.
Coming to the library is so much more than just checking out books. Providing meaningful activities for students to apply social and academic skills they are learning in the classroom in a shared space is what makes the library the hub of a school.
