New Year, New Supplies!
Funded Dec 30, 2024Our brand new headphones were so helpful with our middle of the year testing! Scholars were able to focus on trying their best and not worry about tech issues with our previous headphones.
Scholars also were very appreciative of the fruit snacks. They were able to have a snack before we began testing.
Lastly, we have been using the glue sticks for different crafts and to glue decodable passages into our phonics journals.
Thank you for your generosity and for supporting the learning and growth of our future generation of change makers and leaders.”

Back to School in 2nd Grade!
Funded Aug 9, 2024Thank you for your support in setting up my students for success in 2nd grade! I was able to put together pencil boxes for my class which has encouraged them to be responsible for their belongings. The pencil boxes and supplies help my students be more organized.
The decodable books have been a tremendous support while I teach phonics based small groups. The different small groups I work with are focusing on words with short vowel sounds. The decodable books help my students grow in their confidence and joy of reading.”

Let's Have A Magical Year!
Funded Aug 9, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity and your contributions towards the growth and success of my 2nd graders! We were able to start of our school year in August with coloring supplies organized into pencil pouches. Once I launched literacy groups, I have been using the Rime Magic program everyday to help my scholars improve in their automaticity and fluency with reading. The scholars have been absolutely loving the play-dough! We have used it to build different sounds/words and also during Fun Friday!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and 5 other donors.Readers Are Leaders!
Funded Nov 21, 2022Once again thank you for your generosity and donations towards my project. Decodable readers have been such a great supporting material to the systematic and explicit phonics lessons I teach each day. I notice my scholars sounding out words when they come across words they don't yet know how to fluently read. My scholars have grown in their confidence with reading!
My students absolutely love puzzles and so when they saw the short vowel puzzles they were so excited! I have also noticed their excitement for reading grow since we have received the materials. Your donations truly made a difference in our classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Yepiz
