We Can Learn While We Snack
Funded Feb 23, 2024Thank you so much for the donations of healthy snacks, fruit cups, and of course Takis in which my students have had the chance to enjoy these past few weeks and months since the donations.
It has been so rewarding to be able to supply my students with snacks throughout the learning day, which has kept them motivated, and alert throughout our Phonics instructions.
With so many donations of snacks we still will have enough for our upcoming state test and I'm sure from the donations you provided we are going to ROCK!”

Help Us Print Some Phonics Worksheets!
Funded Aug 17, 2021Thank you so much for the product that I was able to get through Donor's Choose. I requested a 4-1 Printer for my office in order for me to properly assess and teach my students phonological skills, as well as reading comprehension here at PS 333 - The Longwood Academy.
To my surprise the student's that I have been assessing these past few weeks we been in school have been excited and ready to work. So many of them have stated how happy they are to be back in the building and how proud they are of themselves that they are able to get back in the classroom and begin learning with their peers and teachers again.
As we are completing our assessment tasks I also printed out student faces for them to complete about how they feel about themselves and their names. We are working on building student's community and self identity this year, and they have shown me that they are happy and proud to be back in school. I just want to thank the donor's again for helping me get the printer in my classroom so I can continue to integrate technology in my classroom through the donor's choice donations.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Facebook, Inc. and 3 other donors. We Need to Read!!!
Funded Dec 22, 2011I just wanted to say thank you very much for the donations that you provided to my students. The books and ink came in great handy and just in time for our ELA State tests, where we all know our children need to increase they're reading fluency, and through your donations they have. I have seen my students come in and grab their books and begin to read without me even telling them, and that's a blessing right there.
During these tough economical times that the school system is having, I'm so grateful that we have people who are willing to look out for the students as well as their needs. Without your contribution my students would have never had the chance to get books of their level and their liking to read, and reading is so fundamental that I'm glad we have inspired them to pick up their books, instead of putting them down.
WIthout donors like you my students would have missed the opportunity to go anywhere they want in their books as well as their life.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Wells
