• First Grade Refresh

  Thank you for you generous donations to my first grade classroom! Since we moved classrooms, it took a long time to set it up and make it feel cozy again. However, thanks to your donations, my room looks better than ever and my first graders have LOVED being in our space.

  I am so thankful to have a community of friends, family, and coworkers who have supported me and my students from the very beginning. Starting year three, I have more confidence in my ability to teach and create a welcoming and safe environment for my students.

  Your donation has given me a chance to make this year the best year of teaching yet and it will give my first graders a chance to learn to their fullest ability (and in super fun ways!).”

• End of Year Refresh

  As I begin to get ready for this new school year, I am so excited looking at all of the new items that YOU helped get for my students. This year is going to be a great one--we have a classroom set of working headphones, new books to read the first few weeks of school, and more. I believe these items will be able to help these students have an amazing school year and, with these donations, I feel much more confident as a teacher going into my second year of teaching.   After many weeks of hard work, my classroom is finally coming together! Thanks to you and your generous donations, I got the decor and materials I need to make it my room one that is warm and welcoming for all students.

  With these materials, students are able to learn how to be independent, even at their young age. Alongside working on independence through putting away their own papers and organizing their cubbies, these items also give my students a chance to explore their inner kid and have some fun in their free time.

• Ms. Gunderson's 1st Grade Classroom Library

  My classroom library is AMAZING, all thanks to you and your donations towards getting some wonderful material for my students to read. In first grade, reading is one of the most essential and important things that students are learning how to do. If we didn't know how to read, we would not be able to do anything!

  Thanks to your donations, I have a wide variety of content that my students can choose to read. We have nonfiction and fiction galore including picture books, chapter books, informative texts, and more! Having a wide variety of content allows my students to always be engaged with what they are reading and actually get excited to pick out a new book!
