Using Tilt Brush (through Oculus Quest 2 — Advanced All-In-One Virtual Reality Headset), we would like to experience visual art through virtual reality. Students will be able to combine their interests in sculpture and 3D art with their passions for color and painting. I hope this project will enhance student engagement by appealing to their interests in technology. This past year, we have been pushed towards digital art platforms. Many students have embraced this shift, and virtual reality could offer a new approach to designing and creating that continues to deepen their passions and creativity! I hope it will also inspire other students who have been reluctant to embrace digital platforms. These headsets will be used by students to complete projects aligned with various art movements. For example, students may be given the opportunity to recreate one of Jacob Lawrence's panels from the Migration Series as we study the Harlem Renaissance.
