  • Restructuring the Classroom Around Learning

    Funded Jan 26, 2022

I cannot say thank you enough for the double sided wiggle feet mats and bouncy bands. I taught 5 very energetic classes last year of anywhere from 20-30 students per class. This year I teach 6 classes where 5 are between 25 and 30 students per class. Emerson Collective graciously funded this entire project last year and these durable items are a still a huge hit in my classroom. These items are still used daily by my (over 130) students which I teach. Students have said they not only focus better during lecture, but also on major assignments like tests. I have also noticed they stay seated and attentive substantially longer during class. I am genuinely thankful for your donation to our classroom and my classroom management would definitely suffer without these items. Thank you again and I look forward to uploading pictures of the bands and mats in use.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jolene Jackson

You are incredible! It is because of donors like you, teachers are able to expand their reach to various students with different learning styles. Words of gratitude will do no justice for how thankful we truly are at this time! We cannot wait to get our hands on these supplies!”

  • Bringing Learning Back to the Basics

    Funded Dec 29, 2021

Thank you again! I have heard so many wonderful things about you and I am very honored you chose my project to fund last year. I can only hope to have a lasting legacy like yours if I ever leave Statesboro. Thank you again for the wonderful supplies and for funding my classroom! most of my students loving having their tests on colored paper and the whiteboard in my room was literally in pieces. The words thank you are just not enough. I try to stretch every dollar and 1st year teachers are never prepared for just how much they will have to provide for their classes. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jolene Jackson

I have several students that find it hard to stay in their seat, especially as the day progresses. These items are a way for me to try to redirect the class to the lesson, a way to keep them in their desks so they are able to focus on the material and information being given to them, as well as be less of a distraction to themselves and classmates. Hopefully, this will allow them to focus their after lunch energy and improve many of the grades in my classes due to excess energy.
