Our school was flooded last year and most rugs were not able to be saved. A rug is an essential part of my classroom. The rug will give students a chance to stay comfortable and engaged while learning in their classroom. Students will hear stories, participate in calendar time, answer questions and complete projects on the rug. It will also allow for adequate space for each child while they are seated on the floor. The carpet is divided into squares and each student will have their own space to move around and stay safe. This is especially important during times of covid when students need to be conscious of staying in their own space while learning.
