The majority of my students are low-income and can not afford school supplies, therefore, the majority of the materials I have requested are to be able to have enough supplies for my students. As a first year teacher, I want to make my classroom welcoming to these students who are English learners by encouraging them to improve on their English language as well as learn how to be mindful in every part of their life and in every setting. Anything they may learn in the mindfulness corner and from English lessons is encouraged to be used outside the classroom to potentially give these students the skills to become successful and healthy leaders.
