The materials that I have chosen to request will provide my students with the opportunity to do more hands on learning and will give them an opportunity to share their personal perspectives of musical content with each other. These items will provide me with more than enough tools to distribute throughout the classroom so that each student will have their own materials to complete musical performances, and the students will be prepared to share their musical talents with their fellow classmates and teachers around the school. I have requested things such as buzzers to play well known games such as "Jeopardy" with my older students to help them learn more about dynamics, instrument families, and music vocabulary. I have requested ukulele hooks to hang on my walls which will provide easy access for my students to get to them instead of packing them in bags and causing tuning issues. I would love to have a set of white boards for my students to be able to play games such as "Staff spelling bees" and rhythm composition games. So please help me to provide a sacred space for my students so that they can feel free to live up to the musical potential that each and every one of them have. Your donations will not go to waste!
