Thank you for your support and donations to foster social emotional learning for our kindergarten students, through sensory and bibliotherapy. They enjoyed listening to the stories and learned from them. We were able to see growth in the way they talked and played with each other. Additionally, the weighted plushie and rocker supported students to be more present during lessons or independent practice.
The sensory bottles they created were not only beautiful but also brought joy and a sense of pride. Our students made these tools and took them home to help them calm down with something they created themselves.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting my students with the resources they needed for the Peace Corner. Having a table and sensory materials provides the private space my students need in order to take a break, talk and resolve disagreements, draw, and be mindful of their emotions.
When they saw the table and materials for the first time, they were gasping with excitement. They love touching the gel sensory toys and the breathing board. It helps them calm down and regulate their emotions. My students are using these tools every day and we are so grateful.”
