This is a novel study we will do at the beginning of the school year. It is important to get books in the hands of students eager to learn. This book will be able to allow students to mirror themselves through the characters or connect to the characters in some capacity; applying real world experiences. I want the students to learn from this book that regardless of the circumstances you face, their unique and different walks of life....each student in the classroom IS capable of being resilient and triumph in the face of skepticism.
