In my group of superheroes, our reading levels vary from still understanding what letters are, to being able comfortably sequence words together to form sentences. That being said, it’s through books and stories that we are able to take super adventures and escape our own reality. Through the illustrations and words on every page of these books, I’ll be able to take my students on numerous adventures. They will learn about unique characters and people with super abilities that make them special. They will learn how kindness can make a difference in everyone’s day. We will explore other cultures, escape bad days, bond together, all in the comfort of our super classroom. Through these books, my superheroes will begin to enjoy literacy and grow a positive relationship with books, that they will carry with them forever.
