Creativity comes in collaboration. The items I chose for my class will help us be able to work in groups to discuss what we are reading, critique each others writing, and share with the class. The paper will allow students to write down what they want to say and share that information with the class. Many students do not have supplies or do not come prepared; so I feel it is important to have writing supplies available so everyone is ready to learn. I will have about 120 students a day, so that is why these donations are so important to our classroom. I also feel that having fun prizes to celebrate achievements and behavior is important to student motivation and self confidence. The students will love receiving candy and water bottle stickers. I love having a library in my class so students can have access to books anytime, not only when they go to the library once a month. These items will make a huge impact on the success of many students.
