I am a new teacher that finally has her own classroom! My classroom is bare, but that won't stop me from creating the classroom of my dreams. Learning is frustrating and hard, especially when you have a disability. Students with disabilities, especially those in the awkward middle school ages, feels as though they are stupid and not worthy of learning. I want to provide resources and classroom materials for these students to help build their confidence in and out of the classroom. I want to ensure that my students feel respected, welcomed, and at ease when they enter my classroom. I believe that social and emotional needs are just as important as academics and want to make sure that my students are successful all around.
