Building STEAM Bins!

My students have thoroughly enjoyed the STEAM bins that you generously helped build for my classroom! I ended up not being able to use the every morning, but they are so well-loved that I use them as a reward when we've had a great day. Whenever I tell them we can get STEAM bins out, they celebrate!

About a month ago, our district superintendent was visiting our school and walking through some classrooms with our administrators. At the time that they came into ours, students had just settled in with bins at each of their table groups. The excitement was fresh so it was a bit chaotic, but it was a great opportunity admin to chat with students about what they were doing and trying to figure out. What looked like pure play at first glance turned into students building rocket ships out of STEM building toys, towers out of Lux Blox, and complicated patterns made of tangram shapes.
