  • Empowering 5th Graders with Hands-On Math Manipulatives

    Funded Aug 28, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom! My students love using the hands on manipulatives to learn math concepts! While studying place value we created numbers using the dice! My students created, then showed expanded form, and wrote out word form on our math whiteboards. We use our whiteboards daily to reinforce concepts and as a means of solving problems while aligning our numbers! My room is now full of anchor charts using the grid paper and magnetic notebook paper! We value your support and generosity! Thank you for providing the tools needed to thrive in our math space!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mac

  • Bringing Current Events To Life With TIME for Kids

    Funded Aug 16, 2024

Thank you so very much for your generosity! I am so excited to implement “Time for Kids” into our daily Social Studies coursework! It is never too early for students to engage in current events, and to discover the world in which we live. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mac

  • Make it & Create it Supplies!

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom! My students were pleasantly surprised to have access to new markers, glue sticks, coloring pencils, scissors and more! During the month of February we were able to color, cut and glue, after researching, our African American biographies with posters! In addition, we were able to find text evidence by underlining using a color coding system!

When the students came in and opened our supply chest they were stunned! They asked if I had won the lottery! They were even more impressed by the fact that these items were purchased by anonymous donors! It presented itself as an excellent teaching moment on kindness and generosity!

We cannot wait to continue using our materials to brighten up our work as we move into Spring! We have many activities planned such as hand made parent teacher conference invitations, Mother's Day mementos, and various learning activities in all content areas! In social studies we are preparing a brochure to persuade visitors to visit a nearby city of our choice! We can't wait to add that touch of color needed to make all of our work shine as bright as our light!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mac

  • Sanitize, Stations, & Supplies, Oh My!

    Funded Aug 19, 2021

In our classroom we have used the games to practice and learn inferencing! We love to learn through play, and play to learn. We use our resources during centers and we even have a little friendly competition! Learning good sportsmanship along the way as well!

The sanitizing wand is a great addition to our classroom! It is so helpful in ridding our work areas and technology of pesky germs with the wave of our hand! Our sanitizing team (2 new students per week) love using the wand to rid our classroom of germs!

My students are currently working on research and learning about all things energy! We enjoy hands on learning and brain breaks with movement! They were so excited to receive learning games for the classroom! They couldn't believe "people who don't even know us would buy us stuff!?". Thank you so much for your donation and kindness! We are forever grateful & always learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mac

Sanitize, stations, and supplies! These are some of the items we need to begin this year right! SANITIZE! Sanitizing supplies are a must and needed to keep our room safe and germ-free. I want students and their parents to know that they are safer because of the supplies available to them. STATIONS! I want my kids to have access to engaging learning stations that encourage learning, are hands-on, and enrich their minds and skills! SUPPLIES! Have you ever heard a teacher say, "We have too many pencils? Books? Supplemental materials? Incentives/rewards?" Me neither. With these items, I am hoping to help keep my room a safer, more sanitized place to work and teach, hands-on stations to provide engaging learning opportunities and ensure each child ALWAYS has access to basic supplies and materials to meet them at their individual academic level! I've chosen academic materials that will reinforce ELA concepts and skills as well as encourage & teach teamwork. The UV light sanitizer Wand will help me to keep common surfaces and classroom supplies clean throughout the day without the need for Clorox Wipes. The air purifier will help clean the air that we breathe in our classroom and will help provide a safer environment for my classes when we return to in-person learning.
