Funded Feb 8, 2023Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom! My students were pleasantly surprised to have access to new markers, glue sticks, coloring pencils, scissors and more! During the month of February we were able to color, cut and glue, after researching, our African American biographies with posters! In addition, we were able to find text evidence by underlining using a color coding system!
When the students came in and opened our supply chest they were stunned! They asked if I had won the lottery! They were even more impressed by the fact that these items were purchased by anonymous donors! It presented itself as an excellent teaching moment on kindness and generosity!
We cannot wait to continue using our materials to brighten up our work as we move into Spring! We have many activities planned such as hand made parent teacher conference invitations, Mother's Day mementos, and various learning activities in all content areas! In social studies we are preparing a brochure to persuade visitors to visit a nearby city of our choice! We can't wait to add that touch of color needed to make all of our work shine as bright as our light!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Mac
