It is crucial that I provide iPads with internet access at home to those students whose parents can't afford to have technology at home! Students will use the iPads to improve their math skills. By having iPads in our classroom and at home, students will be able to utilize online resources for math to solve critical thinking problems related to all fields of education, which will enhance their learning gains. Many of my students don't have any devices at home to do their online math work. My students are using the following online programs: Deltamath, Edgenuity, iReady, and Khan academy. 95% of my students are ESOL students whose parents can barely make ends meet here in the Little Havana area of Miami where my school, Shenandoah middle, is located.
