  • A STEM a Day

    Funded Jun 10, 2024

Thank you so much for your support to help fund "A STEM a Day"! My students have been enjoying the materials we received since August!

These materials were used to create "STEM Bins" for my students to utilize throughout the school day. They help with critical thinking and problem solving, as well as fostering an environment for creativity. My students have been learning the value of teamwork as well. Students are independently using the bins throughout the day in our classroom which also aids in teaching independence.

    We appreciate all your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schwalm

  • Math & Science, Oh My!

    Funded Jul 12, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom! My students and I are so excited to use the materials you helped provide for us!

Through this project, I asked for different materials for math and science. The math materials have been utilized for small group instruction. You were able to provide us with manipulatives that are helping my students learn and understand math concepts.

We also received a classroom greenhouse, which my students have been so eager to use! This will be perfect for our science unit on plants, where each of my students will be able to grow their own.

Thank you again for your generosity!”

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom! My students and I are so grateful and cannot thank you enough!

Through this project, I requested materials that I could use to create self-checking stations for my students to utilize during small group math centers. The laminating sheets were used to preserve my materials and the hanging file folders were used to organize the materials for my students.

Thank you SO much for supporting my 3rd grade classroom! My students are so thrilled to have such a variety of books to choose from to help foster their love for reading.

My main goal as an educator is to help students develop a lifelong love of reading. Your generous donations of Junie B. Jones, Magic Tree House, Geronimo Stilton, and Big Nate have sparked multiple student's interests. During independent reading time, students are allowed to read books that interest them and take comprehension tests on them. The books that I listed above have already been checked out and enjoyed by students!”

These books will help expand my classroom library. These are books students can check out to read independently. They are books on their instructional level that will help them develop a love for reading. Students are allowed to take these books home to share with their families. Each night, students should be reading a certain amount of minutes at home. These books give them, as well as their families, the opportunity to gain exposure to different kinds of text. My main goal as an educator is to help students develop a lifelong love of learning and these books will help me meet that goal!
