Help Wiggly Learners Focus

I want to say thank you again for the generous gift of wobble cushions for our classroom. We've put them right to use with kids taking turns using them from week to week. When it is a student's turn to use a seat, they are able to use it whenever they are working on the rug, which is a fair amount in kindergarten. This includes times such as listening to a story, having a group conversation, and playing a game with a partner.

That kindergarten joy burst forth when I first revealed the seats and I still hear many excited "yesses!" when kids see that it's their turn to have a seat. It is very clear that all my kids are more comfortable sitting on the rug because of the wobble cushions. They're able to wiggle AND focus without disturbing themselves or others. That means more learning is happening!

I'm so grateful for the impact these seats have had on my current class and that it's a gift that will keep on giving. I'm looking forward to being able to put them right to use with my new kindergartners next year to help them get off to a great start as well.
