As a new teacher, I do not have classroom basics yet.
These items will aid me in planning and executing lessons, design bulletin boards to display my students' work, and keep all aspects of the classroom organized for everyone to use efficiently. The materials I need are teacher essentials to help me begin to build my classroom and assemble a collection of teaching supplies.
I need:
-Several types of organization systems to keep track of student progress, data, paper work, and store manipulatives, books, lesson materials, and various classroom items. This includes hanging file systems, rolling drawer cart, bins of various sizes, desk organizers, classroom keepers/mailboxes.
-Laminator and the pouches to create and reinforce reusable material.
-Document camera to model activities on the SmartBoard for all students to see.
-Rolling portable whiteboard to move and teach around the room.
-Printer and ink to print activities and letters home before they go to the school's copier.
-Cricut machine to cut intricate designs or letters to display alongside student work on bulletin boards.
-Dedicated iPad to collect data and plan lessons.
-4TB hard drive to store and organize digital material.
-Paper guillotine to cut a large amount of paper sheets in one swift slice.
-Label maker and cartridges to label everything.
-A class set of clipboards and dry erase boards so students may work independently. wherever they choose.
Above are the big-ticket items but there are other items I need to run a successful class like chart paper, markers, automatic stapler, hole puncher, staple gun and tape dispenser, hooks, velcro tape, magnetic tape, pocket charts, etc.
These items will make me a productive teacher and be better equipped to serve my students, not only this coming year but in future years too.
