  • Ms. Marshall M&M's

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

We are using the materials in our classroom workstations. It allows the students to have hands on experience with their learning, and it makes the activity fun. When the packages arrived, I told my students that Christmas does not just come in December. They were so excited to open each box. When I opened the first box all of their eyes were so bright with excitement. Our next steps is blending sounds and rhyming words words, and using these materials that we were gifted will assist us in reaching that goal.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Marshall

  • Adventures of Ms. Marshall's Class

    Funded Sep 18, 2021

The new materials are allowing my students to get hands on experience with their learning. We are using the materials in our center rotation. The dry erase pockets assist the students with writing their names. It makes the experience more exciting because they are able to use dry erase markers instead of a pencil.

When the packages arrived my students were so excited. It was like Christmas in September. We opened all of the packages together and I explained what each item was for. They could not wait for me to put the materials into the workstations.

My next step is using the materials in multiple areas in my classroom. My assistant and I are brainstorming ideas on how we are able to implement the material in other ways in the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Marshall

By using the Giant Number Sense Stamp set will allow me to model the different charts with my students and then allow them to complete the same activity in their journals. Having this stamp will save time as well, because the students nor myself will have to take classroom time to draw the chart in each student’s journal. The Counting Set Cones and Squeeze, Scoop and Count Ice Cream Shop will allow my students to have hands on experience with one-to-one counting and it makes that real world connection with ice cream. The name plates and border allow me to create a print rich and positive learning space for the students. When the students arrive on the first day, I want them to want to come in and see what new things they can learn.
