I am a first-year teacher and anybody who has ever been in my shoes knows how stressful the first year is. Not only do I have to spend countless hours at work making sure I'm doing the best that I possibly can but I also have to create a classroom from scratch. I was taken into my first ever classroom on June 17th, 2021. In there I saw cubbies on the back wall, 6 desks with 24 chairs, a sink in the corner, a teacher desk with a teacher computer, a smartboard, a whiteboard, my math and reading modules, and my science kits. That is all. I am starting from ground zero. This project will give me all the basic must-haves that any classroom needs. Having all the materials in this project will allow me the financial freedom to focus on my next step in creating my classroom and that is getting more student geared resources such as math manipulatives, indoor recess games, books, etc. Having the materials in this project will allow me to put my focus where it really belongs, my amazing 24 4th graders. My students will be able to benefit from these resources by having everything available to them in the classroom. The 10 drawer storage container will be used to store each day's copies for the lessons that day to make it easier for the students to know where to go if they missed a day. As well as a turn-in drawer so I know where everything is. The file folders and file folder basket will be used to return graded assignments to my students. The book bins will be placed in the classroom library to keep the genre of books organized so the students know where to find what they're looking for.
