Having basic art supplies and items for opened ended play during center rotations allows my students to be creative, work cooperatively with others, and produce something they are proud of. These items will also make a great addition to our maker space area in the classroom. These materials can help to provide hands-on learning, critical thinking skills, and even boost self-confidence. Putting puzzles together requires concentration and problem solving. Doing this in a group or with a parter enables student to work together and collaboratively problem solve to reach the same goal.
