Funded May 7, 2022My students are students with special needs as well as live in a high poverty area so most of them do not have the ability to use technology at home. In the classrooms we are able to use technology in many different ways. We typically use technology for all activities in some way. During our morning meeting we use a slideshow with embedded videos with songs that the students use as a guide to get their materials and then have a seat. We then use technology to have students come up to the board and interact with objects to answer questions.
The new products allow my students to be able to complete activities on their own with little to no help from adults in the classroom. They know where they activities are kept, how to use them, and what to do when they are completed.
I have students who came to me from a different environment where working together was not required of them. These students have began to respond well to the structure of the classroom and work together with other studnets in the room.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Henderson
