    Thank you so much for donating and providing these essential materials to my students. My students reside and learn in an area where quality technology and accessories are not always available to all. It is also not always feasible for the school to provide it (I.e. due to lack of funding) or the teacher themselves. However, students in 2024 are expected to engage in learning activities daily using technology. Now my students can engage in their independent practice, assessments and fun using quality headphones for the entire year.

    I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you for helping my students succeed. This summer as I learned more about The Science of Reading, I realized my reading instruction was not meeting my student's needs. They need a systematic and explicit approach to phonemic awareness and phonics. The curriculum available to me was missing the phonemic awareness part. I was able to add the short 10-12 minute lessons from the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness curriculum to my phonics program/period seamlessly. My students are currently in week 12 of the 37-week program. Through your support, I was able to add the necessary component and the growth I have witnessed in my students is unmatched! I am building critically strong readers. My students are reaching reading milestones quicker and are gaining more confidence in their ability to read. They are able to process and use the sounds in words to spell and read. My literacy coach is noticing a difference and is thinking of using the data from my classroom to possibly make this program available to the whole school next year. This has allowed me to be a better-informed teacher for my students. This is all thanks to your generous donations!”
