  • Increasing Independence with Visual Supports and Sensory Items

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to my Donor's Choose project. I have received my materials and they are in use every single day.

    The laminator has allowed me to make visuals for my non-speaking students which helps them to communicate their wants and needs throughout the day. I have made laminated and bound books to use during circle time and "snack mats" that allow us to practice our communication while eating.

    Every morning we start our day with Sensory activities. These stations include the kinetic sand and play-dough that you helped to provide for my students.

  • Help Me Bring Some Color to Our Special Education Classroom!

    Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! Using our new printer, my team and I were able to create engaging visuals to start off our year on the right foot. The visuals that we have created not only allow us to communicate schedules and expectations, but also bring color into our classroom and within our projects.

    We have one particular student who is non-verbal. The color printer has allowed us to create picture stories, visual cues and most importantly, has given her a better way to communicate with us.
