I'm a first-year teacher who is committed to building a strong classroom community. The books in this project will be used to create and build our class family as we get to know one another. An important part of building community is celebrating who we are; crayons that represent everyone's skin color will communicate to students that they are unique and special. The carts included in this project will be used to organize crayons, supplies, and other important materials, so that students can more easily interact with the classroom space.
