  • There Are Geniuses Everywhere!

    The flexible seating has allowed my students using the surfboard seats and lap desks to sit anywhere in the room. Using the flexible seating has allowed my students to be more comfortable in our large class of 32 by finding a space where they can work and learn comfortably. I have noticed my students are more engaged, behavior problems have lessened, and there is a more positive vibe in my classroom. Thank you for making a difference in my students' lives.     I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful donation to my classroom. My students have truly enjoyed the books! They love going to the classroom library because there is a book of interest for each child. The students have enjoyed exploring and seeing themselves in the the different characters and relating to the stories setting, and cultural dynamics. My second grade students even took their learning to the next level by creating their own ones. My English Language Learners have enjoyed reading the books because many are in both their native tongue and in English. My class is so thankful to generous people like you."”

Sitting still is a skill we need in life. However, it isn’t something we should insist upon all of the time in elementary school because kids need to move. Flexible seating serves as an excellent reminder that kids will work well in spots where their needs are met. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. When they are given a choice in their seating. They are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk. The books in my project will add more diverse chapter books to our classroom library, more closely representing the students who are reading them.

About my class
