We have started a new Math series and need more manipulatives for the students to explore in smaller groups to connect math concepts to their everyday lives. Our classes only have one set of certain manipulatives which are shared right now to provide opportunities to have centers and exploration in groups of the learning of the math concepts. These items will help give extra practice for those who need it. Also, drives our relationship building in the classroom with sharing, conflict resolution, brainstorming, building on each other's ideas and problem solving. Students can give the narrative of how well they understand the concept/Learning target by showing it visually. This will foster an environment of students taking ownership of their learning.
