I am requesting fidgets and a variety of books. With the students coming back to school after the pandemic, they need to know and feel that we, as educators, care for them.
When the students read graphic novels, they will be eager to reread the physical books. Adding some fidget toys for them in the library helps students be calm while learning. Relevant storylines and visual context clues in graphic novels engage and captivate even the lowest ability readers. With that, the learner participates in an ongoing inquiry-based process as evidenced by formulating questions about a personal interest or a curricular topic. With their eagerness to learn through the comic books, they will then use evidence to investigate questions. The manipulatives are needed in our classroom to continue engaging my students with special needs in the library.
Differently-abled students can attend my class with more focus if their hyperactivity has an outlet; graphic novels supplemented with engaging visuals and creatively placed dialogue will help them be better readers.
Your donations will help make my students' lives better by giving them a variety of exciting texts and fidget toys. To add to that, sensory materials for my students with special needs will help them stay focus on the lesson while attending to their hyperactivity. They can still sit and listen even if their hands are busy.
