I teach seventh and eighth grade math. My students are critical thinkers. I want to create a classroom in which students can debate each other and justify their work. The large easel whiteboards will be used to create groups in which students can lead their group through their own teaching and facilitating. Each group will have a whiteboard and students can rotate their problem solving skills, as well as enhancing their public speaking skills. Students who are able to explain, justify and teach others, have a greater percentage of retaining knowledge. I want the students to take control of their learning and lead each other in the learning process.
