  • ROARRR...Safari Guided Reading Station

    Funded Jul 18, 2022

I can't explain the joy of Roarrr...Safari has brought to my reading class! My students are using the new resources for smooth, transitions from station to station during guided reading, word wall, and spicing up our book shelf.

Observing students facial expression filled with excitement placed the biggest smile on my face. At that moment I knew each and every student felt special and apart of something bigger than anyone could imagine. When they leave the classroom, they leave with a sense of belonging to the roar safari! Their growth in wanting to learn more in guided reading increased tremendously. It was because of donors like you, who put the biggest smile on my students face. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McDonald

  • KEEP CALM and READ in a COMFY SPACE.

    Funded Sep 4, 2021

Students were flabbergasted as they visited their comfy space library. Each kiddo float on clouds as they sit next to their favorite colorful, fluffy Textured Sensory Pillow.

Each student was astounded when they first saw the materials. Several students apply their imagination as they bounce on WALIKI Kids Chair for excitement when growing anxious during partner-reading.

The next steps for my students with current classroom projects is to continue to grow our brains! Because of you, students reading level has increased, drastically. Your support goes a very long way.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. McDonald

The new reader’s comfy space would serve as a relaxed seating area during reader’s choice, reader's circle, and independent reading. Creating a warmth comfy environment makes the task more inviting, including less stress on all student readers. This area would also be a great learning tool for students to actively engage in pair and share the gist of the novel with peers, including increase collaboration, receiving constructive feedback and smooth fluency. Students would open doors for higher self-esteem, deliver accurate enunciation, building up TIER 1, TIER 2, and TIER 3 vocabulary.
