A kindergarten room should have soft items in it, and right now the soft items in our room are very limited. I would like to add some fun ways for my kindergarten students to enjoy reading in our classroom library. I have looked at some fun ways to do this, but most are very expensive to do. I am a crafter/sewer by heart and love to do things for my classrooms. I would like to add a couple of small tents and a few bean bag chairs to my classroom library. I was also given some small tables that I feel will go really nice in the classroom library, so I would like to make crate stools to go around the table. These will also work at storage areas for small pillows and stuffed animals. I feel that making our classroom library a fun place to read, will instill in my students the importance of reading. If they enjoy spending time in the library reading or looking at books, it will help build their confidence in the ability to read.
