Diversity education is so necessary and with Loretta Scott Kings approval, her book collection will be cherished. Basic writing skills have fallen by the wayside due to common core and state essay testing so I really want my students to get back to basics. I look forward to daily reading aloud with them and will ensure that all Coretta Scott King’s books reach them. I like the idea of having another copy for them to take home to reread as well. In addition, having an actual writing workbook to take home and practice with as opposed to continually writing essays will help tremendously and give them confidence.

About my class
