  • The Calming and Mindful Classroom

    Funded May 25, 2024

    I am incredibly grateful for your generous contributions to our TK classroom.

    My students were thrilled when the packages first arrived. They absolutely love relaxing and meditating in our new sound bath. Some enjoyed using the ocean drums, others spritzed aromatherapy spray, and a few even used books to fan the air, creating a serene ocean ambiance.

    The Spot My Feelings plushies and storybook have also been a hit! Each morning, the littles eagerly check in and share how they're feeling.

  • Reading Corner

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

    It is with great gratitude that my class and I thank you for making my Reading Corner a realty. My students look forward to spending time in our class library each and every day. The cozy cushions, the amazing books that you've donated along with the decorations that I've provided make this Reading Corner a cozy area in my classroom. The pictures say it all! My students have a nice area to relax in a classroom setting. Again, a big thank you from Room 24 here at Meyler Street Elementary School. Blessings to you all.”

In order to promote to love of literacy in the classroom, students need books of interest to keep them engaged in daily reading. These books will allow students to develop reading comprehension skills, attain new vocabulary, and knowledge of the world. A cozy corner in the classroom with their favorite book titles will allow students to enjoy reading in a relaxing and peaceful setting. With a variety of different books, students will be able to read independently within their grade level. This is a great opportunity for students to increase reading skills.

About my class
