Giving students the opportunity to read a book that they can see themselves reflected in can be such a game changer in the classroom but also for the rest of their lives. We know that representation matters for students and being able to help them see themselves in the books we read will have an impact for years to come. Born A Crime by Trevor Noah provides that opportunity on so many levels. Not only does he discuss what it's like for a bi-racial teenager he also uses his humor to talk about difficult but real life situations so many young students go through.
