  • No Longer Hungry!

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

Your donations have impacted the daily lives of my students! We received a variety of food items as well as hand wipes and Clorox for students. These items were used to educate our students with medical needs about the importance of pairing healthy foods and snack alternatives. Students were able to learn how to balance their carbohydrate intake. For students with medical needs who are also picky eaters, it can be challenging to enjoy the foods they eat while also fueling their bodies.

Funds from donors like you have helped our classroom tremendously over the years!

We thank you for your support and choosing to help our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

Wow! Thank you for your contributions to our project. I am so incredibly excited to bring Storyworks to our classroom. Students will be able to learn through highly engaging literature magazines. These resources will help build student engagement during our literacy block. I am so appreciative you have decided to give to our project. Thank you.”

  • Super Scientists!

    Funded Jan 10, 2024

Our students will be taking the New York State Science Test this year and have been working so hard on deepening their knowledge of science concepts. My fifth grade students were so excited to receive these materials. The science kits will help our students learn about science standards in a hands-on way. The science book will be used to enhance science instruction and provide for high-interest texts. Thank you for donating to our project and helping to get it funded! Your contributions have directly impact the lives of my students and we are deeply appreciative.”

  • Read Aloud Class Set!

    Funded Dec 10, 2023

Thank you for your donations to our classroom. Our students were so excited to receive a class set of our read aloud, Front Desk by Kelly Yang. This text has a new, fresh story that many of our students can relate to, as they are children of immigrants or immigrants themselves. Along with being engaging and fun to read, the story tackles real-life issues that our students have also faced, including prejudice and adversity. Our students were excited to learn that the book is the first in a series by Kelly Yang, and are now excited to read the sequels once we finish the read aloud!”

  • Basic Supplies, Please!

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations to our classroom! These basic supplies have already made an impact in our students' lives. Supplies like markers, staples, copy paper, and tape seem like basics that every classroom already have. Unfortunately, these consumables are supplies that we seem to run out of most quickly!

The dry erase boards and post-its are used daily in our small group lessons. Students have access to all of these materials and more in our student supply center. Having these materials readily available has made a huge difference in the structure of small group work and partner work.

A sincere thank you, to all.”

  • Small Group Success!

    Funded Jun 27, 2023

Thank you for your contributions to our classroom!

These materials have already made an impact on the daily lives of our students this year. We are able to provide a designated small group space for students to work together with their peers, one-on-one with their teachers or paras, or to work independently in a separate space.

Small group materials such as markers, pencils, pens, and highlighters are organized in a new caddy so students have easier access to the materials they need. Writing paper, publishing paper, and other resource materials are organized in this area as well. Students are able to utilize these materials throughout the day.

Thank you to our donors and Donors Choose for the impact you have made to our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Morelli

These 8-pocket folders will help my students organize all of their materials for their various classes: reading, writing, math, science, social studies, music, and technology, with a separate area for important notices. Staying organized can be a challenge for many of my students. They often lose important materials that are needed for their lessons, paperwork for their parents, and resources that they should refer to throughout the year. Keeping all of their paper materials in one place will help eliminate the need for so many separate folders. Your contributions will help keep my students organized, prepared for class, and ready to learn!
