Our class could use these books to improve our reading skills. This will help my students with reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and listening skills. Literature circles open up discussions and new learning opportunities that are not worksheet based. Students can see the vocabulary in use, they can grow with the characters in a book or story. Many can experience things they will never see, just by reading a book. Reading will also help with their writing. Seeing the way an author expresses themselves will help my students grow as writers.
