  • Flexible Firsties!

    Funded Aug 25, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation. My students will be so excited when they see the new stools for flexible seating. I am also excited for the new materials for our Stem bins. I can't wait to show these to the kids and watch what they do with them when asked to work on a Stem challenge.

Thank you again for providing the tools and seating necessary to help keep young minds engaged in learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Worischeck

  • Flexible Firsties!

    Funded Jun 17, 2021

Thank you for your support and generosity. I'm so excited to use flexible seating with my first graders this year. After the last year and a half of online learning, I'm thrilled to be back in the classroom working one on one with my students. Many of my students have yet to experience learning in a classroom. Flexible seating will allow them the choice of where and how they can best learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Worischeck

After 30 years teaching, I'm moving to first grade in a project-based learning environment! Research has shown that students don't all learn the same way and flexible seating choices will help those students with learning difficulties. By giving them the option of standing, sitting closer to the ground, or fidgeting while they work, without disturbing those around them, we can have a successful learning environment for all. My first grade class will be the first classroom experience some of my students will be getting! I want my room to be welcoming, engaging and at the same time allow for movement, investigation, and community building!
