Hello and thank you for considering my project containing the essentials that my third grade students will need to be successful scholars. As a first year teacher in a Title I school, I am going into the classroom with nothing to start. I am also in need of materials and supplies to help my students learn. I want to transform my room into a safe, welcoming academic space where my students can grow and learn comfortably in an inclusive environment. I spent the entire 20-21 school year working as a student-teacher teaching third grade at the same school I was hired at to teach at next year. I am very familiar with the student population and I want to be fully prepared to help my students who are English learners. Many of the resources requested are to assist students who are learning English and to help all students during ELA and math learning center times. I plan to incorporate daily center activities that will be possible (and enjoyable) with these resources and student learning guides. I want to offer my students the practice they need to excel in all subjects and successfully move on to the fourth grade. The classroom posters, books, and supplies will offer the students with learning resources throughout the room and decorate the walls to brighten their day. I feel that these supplies will provide students with most of what they will need to learn, thrive, and be happy while in school. These materials will make the classroom feel like a home and provide the students with learning resources that will meet them at their individual levels of ability. I want to ensure that all students, regardless of their ability, have access to the curriculum and the support they need to feel confident in their learning.
