I teach in a K-5 Special education classroom in a charter school. The program is new to the school and we basically need everything ! Yes, I teach the school curriculum but there is a HUGE focus on teaching life skills and social/ emotional skills in my particular program. Every task throughout the day is a learning experience! My elementary school students are learning how to monitor their behavior and become as independent as possible at home and school. It is very difficult for me and parents in this economic situation to provide everything they need to become independent, intelligent and successful students. The supplies I am asking for will assist with providing real-life scenarios that will be taught, practiced, and then hopefully occur independently.
