We Need Better Books!
Funded Mar 11, 2022Thank you so much for your donation to our class library! The books you provided are being read by my students every day. We were able to not only replace the books that were beyond repair, but also introduce books of high content! The students are so excited to be able to read these books, especially those that are related to what we are learning in history and science. They have a desire to grow their knowledge, and these books allow them to do that in our classroom.
Our class spends at least 30 minutes a day reading independently. Students are able to choose books that they want to read, and they also read books that are on their reading level that support their reading skills. Your donations have supported the growth of our leveled reader library.
Without your support, my students would be reading books that are broken, outdated, and boring. Thank you for changing that!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Fawcett

Funded Jun 8, 2021WOW! Thank you so much for your support of our class through your donation of these Bouncy Bands! During the first few days of school, I immediately went to work determining which of my sweet friends needed one to help support their bodies during the school day. I have 30 students this year, and about 10 of them are too short for their chairs, so they were my first priority! Next, I observed my remaining scholars to see who had trouble with core strength and who would often rest their head on their desk. I used the remaining 5 bands to support these scholars.
My students were SO excited when they walked in after recess and saw the bouncy bands on their chairs. A few of them asked, "What's this for?" and I told them, "It's for your feet so your body doesn't get so tired," and I could see the relief wash over their faces as they realized they wouldn't have to suffer for 8 hours a day every day anymore.
I'm now hoping to work on getting a second set of 15 so that I can get them on every chair in my classroom because of the tremendous improvement I've seen in these first 15 scholars. I can't express how thankful I am for your support and generosity. We have truly been blessed. Thank you!”
